Edge computing is evolving to take on a new meaning. Many organizations are looking to the edge to drive more business results as opposed to the traditional model of transacting data back to the core. Viewing the edge as part of the entire business ecosystem is key to the overall success of any business. Contemporary organizations usually encompass many remote locations, which often require their own management systems, making these locations siloed from the core operations.
